- 2017: Received Provisional Accreditation from ARC-PA and regional accreditation from New England Association of Schools & Colleges; admitted first cohort of students
- 2018: Inaugural class matriculated; James Van Rhee Student Society founded; hosted the first Virtual Interprofessional Education (VIPE) event; granted Founder level in the Physician Assistant History Society (PAHx)
- 2020: Inaugural class graduated; granted Provisional Accreditation from ARC-PA following the second scheduled site visit
- 2022: Held in-person graduation for the PA Online Classes of 2020, 2021, and 2022—the first commencement ceremony for the PA Online Program

The program remains fully accredited while in this status. Yale School of Medicine and the PA Online Program are taking all necessary steps to respond to the concerns raised by the accrediting body and are confident that they will address their concerns and obtain “Accreditation-Continued” status as soon as possible.
