Classes

PA Online uses an organ system approach, which means that each medical concept is explored through the study of one biological system at a time. The curriculum is taught in both a horizontal and vertical fashion, so the study of each system is integrated throughout coursework. For example, students explore cardiology across all of their courses: In Pharmacology they learn which medications are used in the treatment of cardiology disorders; in Diagnostic Studies they learn how to interpret EKGs; in Clinical Medicine they learn about various cardiac disorders; and in Patient Assessment they learn how to perform a cardiac examination.
